KAPRICE KEA

Kaprice began his directing career in the late 80's directing several award winning short films. He made his directorial debut on the feature film "The Hurting." The powerful and controversial film has played in cinemas around the world after its Cannes premiere in 1993.

Kaprice Kea is a leading director who works in both Commercials and Feature Films. He has directed numerous commercials for such agencies as Saatchi & Saatchi, DYR and Marketforce and has directed spots for clients as diverse as Nivea Visage, Olay Total Effects, Next, UBC Premiership and Anlene. He has also directed the music video for electroclash band Futon with their cover of Iggy Pop's "I Wanna Be Your Dog".

Kaprice has also secured his place in UK industry folklore by being a board member of the N.P.A (New Producers Allience) as well as founding the cinema society Peeping Tom which was a great forum and meeting place for filmmakers in the 90's. People like Mike Leigh, Stephen Woolley and various other industry leaders were regular guests during the 8 years that Kaprice ran it.

Kaprice's most recent feature film was 2002's thriller The Butterfly Man, starring Stuart Laing, Abigail Good and Napakpapha Nakprasitte. The film was shot in Thailand and has since gone onto win several awards for its actors and photography. Most importantly the film has had a substantial cinema release around the world resulting great reviews and success.
